i am planning to install foglights, but i don't see how they mount. all my lights have are the housing and a threaded stud from the bottom but i don't see where they mount to the bumper or subframe or anything. help?
LX or GT? If it's a GT then that big heavy beam under the fog light holes is just for mounting foglights. LX, you're going to have to hard mount it to the bumper, as they never were made to have foglights.
I have some perfect pics from my resto project to show the mounting for a GT for an LX you are on your own. Like already stated the GT has an over weight bracket that mount behind the bumper...
the two end plates have a large center hole and small one below( this is the one you would use) in them like this..
take the stud and inner washer on the back of the light and hold it straight out and put it through the smaller hole, the washer and nut go on the backside of the plate. you have to tighten the nut while holding the light centered. very easy. looks like this w/o bumper on..

I'm also using the real NOS hella lights, broke 2 of the repo lights, the mounts for the studs aren't has good as the hellas. hella has better backing plate and lens.
