90/10 struts

I was wondering if anyone on here has tried 90/10 front shocks on the street with their Fox Mustang.
I've got Competition Engineering adjustable rears.

The car is no daily driver, but I DO drive it on the street. I had some serious traction issues last summer at the track and am thinking about a set of front shocks. I've been warned the 90/10's are a bit of a chore on the street.

i wouldn't. they're designed pretty much to lift. why not 70/30's?

I had so much traction problems at the track last summer, I want to get as much weight transfer as possible.

I had 90/10's on my ols convertable and had no issue with driving it on the street, I also drove this car daily about 35 miles a day with 90/10's, 50/50's and 4.30 gears.

What about some of the adjustables? On the far side they do almost as well as a stocker, then on the other side of adjustment their like a 90/10?

i run 90/10s on my car and it drives just fine. the front end moves up and down alot easier but i cant hardly tell.

I have Lakewood 90/10s with moroso(drag only!) springs with adjustable rear shocks and an air bag on the street and i love it. Its rides nice and you can get some wicked holeshots from stoplight to stoplight! The drag radials and 4.10s help that alot to though

I have 4.10's and MT street ET radails too.
I was considering adjustables in the front, but really, the car is only set to go in a straight line now anyway.lol
90/10's it is.

Have you changed your control arms , removed sway bar and added subframe connectors yet? That would help if you havent already.

Strange makes 10 way adjustable OEM replacement shocks/struts. Ever think about those? They are relatively inexpensive. I've tried multiple combinations on mine, you can basically set it up for any kind of driving. Only thing I don't like is the plastic adjusters, they fell flimsy, but i haven't had a problem in 2 years.

I'm about to buy my first mustang. a 92 gt. I want to build it to be a strip car and being new to this. I am looking for tips on how to get the best traction at launch. like a friend of mine with a 3000gt VR4 said, "you're not wining if you're spining." I would love to show him what V8 power can do so please help. Yes, I have subframe connectors, but I have NOT taken off the sway bar yet.

I've thought about the dial-type adjustables, but I've heard they aren't as aggressive for straight drag.(90/10)

I'm not quite sure you need anything as aggressive as 90/10's. The Strange adj. ca be pretty soft if that's what you set it up for. I drove around once with all the settings set at 1 and it felt like I was riding on jello, lol. I can set my shocks/struts to the 10th setting (stiffest) and on a marginal track lose .01 in my 60'. I have them all set at 7 right now with no traction issues. Granted, my 1.81-1.83 60' times aren't record breaking, but I think you need to have SERIOUS horsepower to require 90/10's. Just my 2 cents.
