Ive been out of a mustang for about 4 years now and sold all of my atvs so ive been looking on the net for a nice fox to play around with.So ive found a former N carolina cop car,its white in color with an automatic and only 96000 miles, the owner has sent me several pictures and the car looks nice.Give me some ideas on what its worth? Thanks.

A Fox is worth what you will pay for it
Members here will see a car and say "Its too much money" then another member may see it and then you hear "Good deal" "Wish I woulda bought it"
Too many variables on the car as well as location and the sellers willing ness to determine final price. So anywhere between $2000 on the low end and $10000 on the high end being perfect with some bad ass motor.

An unmodded SSP is worth more than a modded one. Too many SSPs were bought at auction by someone who wanted a cheap nothcback to hack up into a track car. All original SSPs are now so rare that their collectablity and value are rising very rapidly.

My favorites are the ones that have been hacked up with blower kits, roll cages, body kits, rear wings, and whatnot, and the owners see that SSPs are now going up in price. So they decide the major selling point is going to be, "It's an ex-highway patrol car!", and ask for a premium price. Funny how the police car heritage didn't stop 'em from ruining what makes them valuable in the first place.

Make sure the car has the "police" buck tag still attached with the regular buck tag. On the door sticker, there should also be a 6-digit number (xx-xxxx) under "DSO" on the lower right corner. Without these, it's just another Fox Body. The more original parts it has, the higher the value. A decent, but far from perfect SSP would probably start between $5K and $6K. Good documentation about it's history (build sheet, fleet inventory tag, fleet maintenance records, in-service photos, etc.) make the price go up. A rare, restored SSP could sell for $20K.
