I had a question for you running the MSD, I know of putting MSD on older cars but my friend has a '94 5.0 and he wants it put on his stang. He purchased a MSD ignition 6AL series and MSD-6420 distribuitor.

I saw a couple of pics that show it hooked up to the firewall, so my question is how hard was it? And any conflicts with the onboard computer or hooking up the tach?

Any help is really appericiated!

If you use the msd harness then the hardest part is deciding were to mount it.. I took mine out of the engine compartment and put it under the passanger seat to keep it out of the weather and away from the heat.

No conflicts with the computer what so ever. You just hook it up and go.

Yes, buy the harness. Then you must simply ground the box and hook the positive wire to the battery. The factory tach will work fine.

I made a "shelf" out of aluminum and screwed it to the fire wall.

I thought the MSD 8455 was the only distributor that would work in the 94-95.
