94-5 5.0 gt engine into 94-5 cobra what needs doin?

Ive got a 94 cobra with 170k and a topend noise I'm going in today to see what it might be, if its major I have an 80k 94-5 engine from a gt that i could swap / drop in .Is this a bolt in deal or because of the cobra upgrades will i have computer/ driveability problems ?If anybody knows I'd greatly appreciate a response cause i'm starting this today and kind of need her on the road asap

you need to put the cobra's injectors in, the mass air meter from the cobra, and keep the original cobra computer. then you should be fine.

change over the intake but its the same motor.

The mass air meter is the same for the cobra and gt. The calibration for the 24lb injectors is done in the EEC

Here are the differences....

Cobra has GT40 iron heads and Crane Energizer 1.7 roller rockers
Cam
Intake
Injectors

It can all be swapped over, but will be a bit more involved and costly (gaskets) if doing the cam and heads. Hopefully the top end noise is just a loose rocker or something.
