94-95 SN95 specific Valve Covers!!!! Finally!

Well in my quest to find a set of Valve covers that would fit the 94-95 Mustang without hacking the hell out of the cover itself, I almost gave up... Until a local friend hooked me up with a contact at Moroso. Most of you may not know that the 94-95 Brackets set the alternator back about 1/2" further back then the Fox.

Brint McLellan from Moroso wanted to help me out, and possibly venture into making Valve covers for the SN95 5.0. After shooting some pics of my car and testing out the Fox Covers they make, they told me it wouldn't be a problem.

Well, Brint showed up tonight at the garage with a nice little surprise for me. BAM! Sheet metal/Aluminum SN95 Valve covers!! They fit awesome, and they look even better!

Just some thoughts... I think they look awesome, definitely great quality and nice appearance. However, for $275 dollars I would expect an oil fill tube to be welded into one of them. I think I paid $110 for my Trick Flow valve covers, and everything fits fine with a 3/8" spacer(this is with 1.7 TFS rocker arms). I don't think I could justify paying $275 for a part that doesn't add power, improve suspension, or some other factor like that. What makes Moroso's SN95 valve covers superior to anything else? What would make them worth the price tag? I don't want this to sound like a bash because I think it's a wonderful idea and I hope they put these into production, but for a reasonable price.

Yeah $275 is new gears to me at this point ,but they do look really good.

I would like to find some that would clear the Cobra intake without using a spacer. I have very little clearance on my stocks ones now. I really like that sheet metal look though.

Each cover has a quart of oil stuck up in them, and when your oil gets low it releases some of it to fill it back up Not really but that would be a pretty neat invention if someone ever made one.

You can get generic ones at Summit from TD performance for $25, that fit our cars...and they at least have ONE hole in them. All you need are better gaskets.

I figured he was using a 6 qt capacity oil filter.

Pricing is a little steep, this I know. And as for an oil fill, these come completely blank so you can put what you want where you want it. I'm buying an oil fill cap from Chassis Shop, and I will be running a breather system made by Moroso. We have a local aluminum welder here, so he will be putting in the oil fill and bungs for the breather.

These covers really aren't for the weak of heart, but they work for our brackets, and they look sharp! If you want a truely "Bolt on" valve cover, then I suggest you just grind away on a set of other valve covers, but I wanted something that looked as good as it fit.

I don't know if these will fit without a spacer? They are shorter then the Ford Motorsport ones, I know that.

Anyways, just thought I would post that little bit of info up if anybody was interested.

The whole reason they don't come with a hole is like Chris95SVT said above....where YOU THE CONSUMER wants its. Not everyone needs to relocate their oil filler but for those that do and don't mind shelling out the money for sheetmetal valve covers, these are for them. Look at the prices on ANY OTHER sheet metal/fabricated valve covers and these are competively priced. believe it. They look killer. I just hope my Jeg's Tall Covers fit when i get home...

Personally, I want the oil fill tube on the passenger side. and it won't be a tube either, it will be a nice weld-in cap made by chassis works.

The covers will cost $275, and take 2 weeks to build. For $275 a set, we will put an oil fill hole in a cover or a baffled breather tube in at no extra charge.

What's this stuff about not being a direct bolt in? Don't the Fox valvecovers fit fine? I know my Trick Flow covers fit fine, I just had to run a small intake spacer. I didn't see any bracket interferance anywhere.
