Can anyone tell me what screws adjusts what?

Theres one adjuster that is clamped in place by this:

and looks like this:

[/img] How does this one adjust the lights? left and right?? up and down?




Than you have the last 2 that you have to squeeze with pliers. What does that one do?

I need to aim my hids up some more because there way to low, so im wondering what screw i adjust to up my headlights up more.

You've got the right idea. There should be two for each headlight. One to adjust vertical and the other horizontal.

I cant remember how many (mm) it is, but this will work for you to adjust your headlights.

Check around at auto parts stores or maybe online?

It is made by "lisle". and costs about 20 bucks. Search for "ford headlight adjusting tool"

I doubt thats for a 96-98 mustang. From what i know they adjust by the bullet adjusters that holds the lights in? Or this is something new to me.

Anyone else know about this tool? Than again i believe hes right also. You take that tool and put it on the metal studs that stick out right?

Im going to buy it ;]

I have a 98 mustang that is how you adjust it. lol That tool is a sleek ratchet with a long handle with the correct size built in already.

Thats exactly right. Goes on the hex studs that stick out in your pics. And then ratchet away.

Thanks buddy. 1 more question. Do you know which adjuster adjust? Vertical or horizontal?

Also, that tool can't be brought offline can it?

top srew is up/down, i think its tighten is up loosen is down, bottom screw is the left/right

What ratchet wrench/mm combo if we don't buy the 'tool'?

I assume a 1/4" ratchet atleast...

wow this is strange.. ive always been able to adjust mine with a pair of tiny vice grips... both with adjust up and down.. and side to side too.. you just gotta fool with em and keep your headlight not lookin stupid...

When adjusting pull up to a wall and shine your headlights on it from about 30-50 feet away. Make small adjustments followed by test drives until you get them dialed in perfect. Have perfect headlight alignment makes a huge difference.

Twista considering you have replaced your headlights 35 times this winter i would think you would be a master at this.

but yeah whats these guys said...you adjust by the small metal adjuster at the end not the plastic bullet.

Right is up and left is down if i remember correct.
Do like Killy said and find a wall with a flat/level area in front of it.

My clear headlights had screws that I adjusted from the front using a phillips head screwdriver.. but the sidemarkers had to be removed to access them. That was simple enough though
