94-98 Vs 99-04 Window Switch Bezel Interchange?

I know the interiors are pretty much the same. Can a 99-04 drivers door switch bezel work in a 95? I see them broken up by year group everywhere. I first thought a motor went but randomly it started working again and a different window acted up leading me to believe the switch contacts are bad in the drivers switch.

They're likely only broken up into year groups because of different interior colors available during different model years.

Black is 94-98 only.

99-04 charcoal is dark grey. I had an '03, it won't match at all
