Got a project idea after I sell the 93 thats pissing me off.

I dont want to do a split port swap till I get my hands on a built 4.2 and then 15-17psi is in the near future.

In the mean time its single port for me and which year is the best?

Probably any 96-98s. The 94-95s were known to blow headgaskets and overheat. 98s are hard to get long tube headers on, expecially if you need emmisions because you need O2 extenders and some other work arounds with the EGR, but it can be done. They all have the same amount of hp up until 99. I would say 97, but if you go with a turbo, then you wont care about LTs so then you could go 98. As far as the split/single port debate, a good set of ported single ports will flow as good as split ports, ported even. When you are ramming air in, it doesn't matter about the intake runners any more, just how well do they and the heads flow. But any V6 > 93 2.3 NA and you wont get the "JUST DO A TURBO SWAP!" in this forum, because there is none (supercoupe, but you can just get pieces and bolt the M90 up to the 96-98s with a good tune and fuel upgrades). Many things can be done with a built V6, just gotta know where you want to go and know it's going to cost, and it's going to take time.

Yeah the constent just do a turbo swap is annoying.

I love the 2.3 turbos and all(had an 84 turbo gt factory sunroof) and I planed on doing a turbo swap with the coupe which is the main reasionw hy I got the damn coupe but half way thru the t5 swap things arnt going right parts came up missing, jail, moving to a different town things have been hecktic.

So after i get that damn coupe togeather and painted throw some ponies find some coupe seats(Iam keeping my 84 turbo gt seats for as long as I live) and sell that pain in my ass.

The same saying applys thou fast and v6/i4 dont go in the same sentance but ya know what I found a procharger kit that someone put togeather free install if you go there and all for under 3k$ and a lil this and that he made over 400 accrost the board.thats all i really care about is 350 ish and I aint gonna get that out of bolt ons and iam not a baby so I aint sucking on no bottle .

What most dont get is everyone thinks that if your gonna go fast the first thing they say is get a gt or you race 1320, MEH!

Thanks for the info I shal be looking for a 96-98 all black 5speed v6 (prolly a 96 cause its older and prolly cheaper to find).

Thanks Again
