Just curious if there were differences made to the Cobra mid year 94? The reason being is that my Cobra has some different trim pieces, etc. than other Cobras of the same year. I know mine's real due to the fact that I have documentation from SVT and the VIN on Carfax and other outlets comes up as a Cobra. However, my wing is different than some other guys cars and I have a pony in the grill instead of the snake. Also, the snake on the trunk is on the other side. One more thing is that my third brake light is in the trunk lid and not the wing. Any ideas? My Cobra is #616.

No changes were made mid year in 94 and the 95 was nearly identical to the 94 except for the "SVT" badge addition on the trunk in 95. The wing should have the turndowns on each end with the LED third brake light mounted in the spoiler and absent on the trunk lid. This is a Cobra specific for this model year. The spoiler should look resemble a crab claw on each end. The pony is supposed to be in the grille. No SVT Cobra has ever come from the factory with a Cobra in the grille, so yours is likely factory in this regards. No Cobra logo is suppose to be even on the trunk lid...just on the front fenders both facing forward. For 94, the trunk should have nothing more than the floating Ford Oval mounted on the upper right side of the trunklid between the license plate and the right taillight. You didn't mention it, but your rear bumper will have "MUSTANG" embossed in the bumper.

Hope this helps. Sounds like a previous owner made some changes, but your description of the rear and the wing/trunk lid makes me wonder if it might have been wrecked or damaged a bit on the rear and the owner replaced it with salvaged pieces.
