Not worth it in the least. Grady will pop in here, I'm positive, but it takes A LOT more than what you're Cobra has done to be pulling in more air than the stock MAF can take. What you heard about Foxes gaining anything from an aftermarket MAF on a bolt-on motor was not quite true.
Nope-our 70mm do just fine. Also, you have a MUCH greater chance of your A/F being where it should be with your stock MAF, the stock computer (ECU) reads and translates the resistance from the factory meter much more accurate/much easier than an aftermarket one. Also (thanks to Michael Yount's explanation to me) the way that the air hits your MAF is detrimental in how the filaments meter the air, meaning that in order to be completely accurate and have the exactly right clock position with an aftermarket MAF, you either have to tell the shop/company that's supplying your MAF what air filter you're using and so on, as well as if there is a bend in the tubing before the meter. If you don't do this, it's a crap shoot whether or not it will be exactly right. I experienced this with an 80mm Pro-M on mine from the previous owner who just bought an "80mm Pro-M MAF for 24# injectors." One size doesn't fit all. In other words=stick to stock unless you're puttin' down some SERIOUS and I mean SERIOUS power.
Agreed. Remember, the fox III (GT) comment is because they have 55mm units, not 70 like ours (93 Cobras have a 70 MM unit also, but with different electronics than our cars).
