Thats about half the price of a rebuilt one from D&D and a new World Class from Summit is about 1300 bucks. I would say that is a bit more than I would pay for a used tranny.

Yeah that sounds good to me (shipped that is)

You do know that a Cobra T-5 is different then a GT T-5 right? Just wanna make sure if its going in your car.

How about a T5 out of a 94 Cobra that looks like this? I can't image paying more than 250.

Sorscode is selling a 94-95 T5 (it might be from a Cobra - I dont recall). About the only way I'd feel comfy buying a used trans is from someone I "know" on a forum. I've seen some shady crap go down with trannies (ok, ok transmissions! ).

I believe the 94-95 Cobra boxes had different bearings on the input shaft, and they did have steel bearing retainers.

Differences in the tranny as stated before

There is a phosphate coating on all the gears.
The shift cover does not have a reverse switch on it.
The cobra tranny has a roller pocket bearing on the main shaft instead of the 15 needle type bearing.
The input shaft is 5/8 inch longer than the 86-93 tranny.
5th gear has 2 bronze syncros on it instead of one.

I just got done tearing mine apart and replacing some stuff in it. 140,000 miles on the tranny and the inside of my case still looked brand new.

As long as you get a 94-95 gt or cobra model trans then its a direct fit. When you run into a problem is any other year tranny because the input shaft length
