94 mustang irratic idle

i have an irratic idle it bounces around from 1000 rpms at idle to as low as 500 rpm. Sometimes it even dies. I have my timing set at 10 degrees ATC. Have a ford racing E cam port and polished heads and intake no emission controls. I just replace the Idle/Air control valve thinking that was the issue but it wasnt. any ideas?

Might wanna double check that timing.

Pull codes.

Look for a vacuum leak.

no vaccum leaks...only code is egr not opening and fuel pump relay malfunction?

Bad EGR, about $91 dollars at Advance Auto, just replaced mine today.
