Hey guys..its been awhile since i've been in the 5.0 game and i know the 94/95 ecu's cant handle many mods or something to that extent. What can they handle....whats an idea of the limit. Dont some of you guyus do 93 ecu swaps....whats entailed for those. I might be picking up a 94 or 95 GT or GTS and needed some info. Since the Lightning is gone if i can get this stang cheap im gonna go for it. Thanks fellow stang bangers

They can handle a ton of mods as myself and other like me demonstrate. These computers are just not a fan of large cams. The added duration can send them for a loop. Choose a cam wisely though and yours will do just fine.

The computer itself is not the problem. It's the stock tune. The computer itself is a great piece, and when retuned (with a twEECer or PMS or custom chip) can make the car drive just like stock even with soem CRAZY mods. My car drives around really good, and that's with the stock computer and some twEECing done.

yup, i agree. I hear that you can tweak many more things with the 94/95 computers over the fox's. Also once you get it tuned, there fine, i have a superchip

From my findings with tuning the pcm in our cars I would tell you this

If you pick parts for your combo with concerns over pcm compatability

You will be leaving power on the table

If wanting info on the retrofit of the fox III puter (A9L, etc), a search for "PIH" will reveal a lot of threads.

Good luck.
