New guy here. My son just joined the mustang family with a 95 coupe. Unlike my 65 fastback, the stereo is a little complicated. Can a factory cd player be added to the stock am/fm cassette? Is the wiring there already? If not, how complicated would it be to install? He likes the factory look and would like to keep it. Any body have experience with this?

Well... yes and no... your stock cassette deck may have cd player control capability, in wich case you could get the cd player and harness (It's a short harness and just runs between the cd player and cassette deck.) Or to be sure, just pull a tape/ cd combo out of another 'stang and install it. Just make sure that you don't use mach components if it's not a mach system and vice versa.!
