95 GT 5.0 - not passing CA smog visual inspection

Could be - and the paperwork I have doesn't show much and the modification shop is no longer in business. I doubt the guy checked numbers - he just did a quick look underneath with a mirror and sent me away. Over the weekend, a friend recommended a "friendly" shop where he gets his old truck smogged and that guy did the same thing.

The shop I went to did more than take a quick look with a mirror, and the car passed every other test without mods. Did you pass the smog test with the new 'friendly' shop?

No, no one will pass it - so I'm trying to figure out what I need to do to fix it and a lot of good suggestions have come from this site.
