I just did this 2 weeks ago.
I had the later '03 calipers in front, too. So I already had the fine thread banjo bolt hose combo.
I got the Cobra calipers from a friend & bought 13' front rotors & larger rear rotors together with the rear upgrade kit from buyfordracing.com.
The rear rotors needed a little grinding to clearance the larger rotor.
BIG improvement, and no pedal pressure increase.
The later PBRs were an improvement over stock, but the Cobras are terrific.
But my mod included the rears, & I didn't hear that you were doing them.
And BTW, the Cobra Rs do clear.

As for front Cobra calipers, look around before buying new.
A lot of Cobra racers upgrade to Baer or Brembo, and let their stock used calipers go cheap.
I got mine for $100, and he threw in the rotors, which I had turned.
So all I really needed new was the rear kit and new Hawk pads all around, which are Cobra specific.
And I used my old '95 rear calipers.

I consider the cobra brake upgrade to be one of the best mods for our car for the money. The difference in braking power is enormous. I've never had a chance to sample the late 90's GT brakes, but going from our stockers to the cobras was a wow thing for me.

The anti-lock system on our cars seems like crap, and the cobra upgrade seemed to help where the system lacked... stopping the car in an emergency.

I bought my kit, front and rear, from stangsuspension. I spent right around $1k for 10th anniversary calipers, stainless lines, and drilled/slotted rotors. It seems now the price has gone up quite a bit. If money is an issue just get the calipers as suggested earlier used, some good pads, lines, and a set of good rotors just up front. I don't consider the rear upgrade as necessary as the front, but I did it because I had the money.
