96 Cobra Rear End

96 cobra rear end noise whine only when i accelerate not hard or lightly on the gas the Driv and pas axel bearings are going bad i can move the axel up and down on both sides would that cause the noise im describing ? or are the gears or carrier bearings bad do u think before i start tearing it apart

Are they stock gears? If they aren't, it could be a bad gear install...

as far as i know there stock , i changed the diff cover cuz it was bent from a rock or something that hit it , the OEM tag was still on the cover ,the outer bearings are loose the axel moves up when i lift the axel , i got the new bearings today and i notice theres no inner race just roller bearings and an outer race in that correct do i have to press anything ? thx

Sounds like you need a bearing kit. They are about 80 dollars plus labor and fluid.
