96 crown vic intake m. on a 99 GT

Hi Guys,

My intake manifold is cracked at the thermostat and I need to replace it. My friend has a 96 crown vic engine that looks pretty much like it. Would this intake manifold fit on my 99 GT? It's aluminum where the thermostat goes but my stang has that piece plastic.

Please help! I need to make a decision I don't want to drive around like this.

Unless he swaped it for a PI manifold it will be the NPI manifold and will choke your engine at 4250 rpm. The intake port design is different too and I have not heard of anyone going to a NPI manifold on PI heads. PI manifolds have the intake runer on the drivers side being the furthest forward on the engine. NPIs have the pass side runner. Get replacement PI for you engine is my suggestion, used or new.
