I recently purchased a 96 V6 for a project car. It did not come with any remotes. However after reading posts it does have the module in the trunk and a small one inside the drivers door under the panel. I bought 2 remotes from the internet. However no luck with any procedure to get it in programming mode. There is power to the module. There was a junky looking box under the hood on the dri ers side with a white plug and 2 wires thar ran into the firewall and connected to some wires in the floor. Definately not factory or professional. They were both hot. The alarm box was just laying there not hooked to anything but the wires and flopping around. I disconnected it and threw it away. It did not affect anything. However i cannot get the keyless working. What do you all know. Fyi, i tried the jumper method on the gray plug in the trunk and the ignition switch method. The lights do not come on when operating the door handle.
