I've been looking into prices on low mileage, well kept 97-98 Cobras, so I went to autotrader.com the other day. A whole bunch of them, mostly '98s, had new engines. The vehicle descriptions on a lot of them said it was due to a factory defect. Can someone please shed some light on this for me as to whether or not this is a legit concern when considering buying one of these cars? Why was there a defect and what was it? If I run across one that has the original motor still, is it wise to expect it to need a new motor? Thank you for any help.
