What's the difference between the 97 Cobra brakes and the latest Cobra brakes. The shop working on my car say that I have a broken bracket and it's causing my caliper to click and is loose. They say that they can't find the bracket needed because it's a older model. Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Rear or front??

Fronts should be the same from 94-04. The rotor changed to a Brembo design in 99 and the caliper pistons increased to 40mm in '99, but the brackets should be the same.

The rear is a different stock. 94-98 Cobras had a solid rear end. 99-04 Cobras have an IRS rear end, so the brackets are different in the rear.

Tell the shop to look for parts for an 03-04 Mach 1 or a 2001 Bullitt. Both those models use a brake setup very similar to the 94-98 Cobras.
