I recently noticed my mufflers on my 97 cobra had rusted out. I have had the car since 03 and always loved the sound and tone. Apparently it had flowmaster 40 series on it so I decided to go with the same since I was already happy with the sound. I have only driven the car a little bit so far but am disappointed with the new sound. Sounds a bit quiet for me. I never wanted an obnoxious or super aggressive sound but this is a little weak for me. Could there possibly be a break in period? Or something be wrong here? If so, these mufflers will not last with me. Any recommendations?? Everything out there seems super aggressive. Thanks in advance for your help..

No break in needed. Usually don't get complaints from 40's that not loud enough, the Delta Flow 40/Super 40 is supposed to be quieter. What one did you buy? Super 44's maybe for you then, Super 10's are pretty darn loud, but are next.

I agree. I had the 40 series before and it was perfect for me. It was the original 40, not the delta. Same part number and everything. Can’t figure out why these would sound any different.
