When i put my mustang into first gear and accelerate up to about 1k rpms and let off the gas, the car has alot of friction on it like it is something slowing it down. Do anyone think this is the clutch or transmission? It sometimes does it in 2nd gear also or not as worse as 1st gear.

Are you allowing for the effects of what's known "compression braking"?
I dont know what compression braking is but also i can kind of hear and feel the friction when accelerating, but when i let off the gas the friction is bad like its trying to brake. If i press in the clutch pedal, then get off it.i have to do it slowly or the friction will quickly slow the car down. I would have to either have to do that or shift into second so the friction can go away. This is mostly all in 1st gear. This is my first even manual transmission car so i dont know how a new car with a manual shift feels, but i know this is abnormal

Mustangs have a problem with parking brake getting stuck put the car in neutral with the parking brake off and see if it's hard to push or slit on a hill a slight incline and see if it rolls.
