Although you have 4:10's...you also run out of breath much earlier than the PI 99...Test drive a 99 and up and you'll be able to tell the difference above 5000 RPMs. Only one way to find out, RACE him...

I'm not sure if this is a stupid question, but how does the 99+ still have a 20hp advangtage over the 98 after he put all those mods into it? Don't 98 GT's have 240hp stock or am I wrong?

98GT = 225fly hp
My 200rwhp doesn't have much on the stock 99+ Gt's with like 230rwhp (260fly). Although i admit that i haven't been to the track yet, and i have not raced a 99+ GT Still waiting...hopefully this summer

I wanna play with some 99's. Mac H-pipe, Flowmaster Catback, FRPP pullies, 3.73's, M/T ET streets, mac upper and lower control arms, eibach's, FRPP alum. d/s, centerforce dual friction clutch, steeda t/a, rear seat delete kit, Mac CAI, Pro 5.0 shifter, nothing in the trunk. I haven't found any around here to come n play.

how 'bout a 2000 ?

my guess is for the 99 car in this race. Your 4.10 will help, and hinder you against him. His car is probably much easier to race bone stock. Good luck though !

when i had my 98gt i waxed a 99GT automatic...it was dead even until i hit 3rd all i had were 3.73s....My 2003 gt would absolutely rape my 98gt
I think you will still lose. The 4.10s help you get in your powerband faster but the proablem is that a 96-98s dont have as big of a powerband as 99+s. You guys should be even until he hits 3rd.
