99-00 mach to 01-04 6 disc mach

can this be done? has anyone done this before? is it a difficult switch? is it worth it? changing the bezel for the double din fit isnt an issue. just wondering if it would work with my amps and the radio would stay in place. i dont feel like changing everything to aftermarket parts and want the factory look and equipment but want to get rid of the tape deck i have since i have never used it in 6 years. any help is appreciated. ~Chris

I think what you would need is the center console out of a 01 - 04 Mustang, the 01 - 04 deck and you'd probably have to redo some wiring. If you want I have my Mach 460 deck from my 04 Mustang around if you want to buy it off me let me know.

I know the wiring changed in 01 for the mach 460 setup. And If you used the bezel from an 01 - 04 the rear defrost, trac control, and fog light switches are mounted on it as well. Prior to that I believe they are in different places. So you would have some extra holes.
