I have the opportunity to purchase a 1999 Cobra Conv with about 27k miles. From posts i have read seems like a lot of negative feedbacl on vibration and horsepower issues. Does everyone have these problems ? Anyone out there happy about their 99 Cobra ??

I have a GT, but if I were you, opt for an 03 or 04 Cobra.

I love mine man....no vibrations whatsoever I'll give you a ride and let you see for yourself if its down on horsepower because anyone that says that is an uneducated fa g that's blabbing off at the mouth....my advice is simply to drive it....make sure you get plenty of highway time because that's when the driveline vibration will be prevalent. Very good buy if you ask me....talk him down more though.....worth about 14-16 at this point.

I had a noticable vibration at like 75 mph, so I had a FRPP aluminum driveshaft and it is no more. I just think these cars are really something speacial, as far as down on power...well mine has not even had the fix and it is much faster than any 98 I have drove! Just put some 410 or 430 gears in it and you will plenty of power on tap. Go for it, and about 15 to 16 grand, I paid 16 for mine last summer.

Don't take that deal man. Too much for the car, I would offer him 16 and no more. List on that car is about 17 and the market is soft on 99 Cobras.

Where did you get your driveshaft? Or did you shorten a d/s from a 98?

Go with the 99, but don't pay 18. 16,500 or 17 would be ok with that mileage. The HP problem was fixed with the fix Get the vin and call 1 800 ford svt and they can tell you what you need to know.
