I curently own a 97 GT but well its having "dificulties" and i really want to trade it in. my first thought was a newer GT like a 99 Gt and mod it... but a neighbor of mine is selling his 99 cobra for 12500 with 95K miles and im sure hell go down to 12 is this a good deal to u guys? i know he takes good care of the car and its pretty much mint inside and out... the reason im debating about this is because a cobra well its a COBRA for crying out lound and a GT is just a GT but if i got a gt it could be moded and would have less milage. Yes i know the cobra can also be modded but with a price of 12k it would leave me no money for mods ATM so it would have to wait a year or so
are 99 cobras reliable? and do u guys know what transmision the 99 cobra has, i know the 99 gt still has the t45 but what about hte cobra?

Yes the 99 has the t45, and that def sucks for a tranny, a good upgrade would be the new tko or t56. but overall my 99 has been great to own and well although not as reliable as ur camry, it is no worse then any other mustang. my main problems was my tranny went, my tob went and i replaced clutch as well and i have a minor coolant leek and had to replace my differential bushings.
good luck ,and go for the cobra :nice:

why did u replace the diferential bushings?
i dont have a camry i have a mustang or is that what cobra owners call GT mustangs cause there so slow (comapered to a cobra they are)? if it is then LOL and sorry for not catching on

I have a 99 Cobra, Black with Black Leather, Cervini Cobra R Hood, Flowmaster Exhaust, 76K Miles, excellent condition, asking $13,000. Located in Upper Michigan, 100 miles north of Green Bay WI.

I dont think the price is high, well not for my area, if it was well taken care of then the mileage does not really matter. my car has 80,000 plus and it is always mistaken for brand new, but anyway noo i was not comparing a camry to a mustang lol, i just meant that the cobra should not give u any more problems then any other mustang. i replaced my bushings because the stock ones are rubber and they wore out so i replaced them with aluminum ones and all is good now. good luck
