Hi i just bought a 99 cobra stang. I had it for about 3 weeks. Today i turned on the heater and when i was driving i could not switch gears. It was rough and stuck. Then i parked it turned off the heater and it was alright. Does anybody know why this happened? Thank you
Agree, the two systems are not related and not matter how hard I tried I could not think of a way that shift issues with heater on vs off could be in any way related.
Most likely your clutch is worn, TOB worn, or clutch needs adjusted.
If you are not a skilled mechanic my suggestion would be to take it to a good transmission shop THAT IS USED TO WORKING ON COBRAS.
