I think that these are also call dial-ins. Basically you set the RPM you want to top out at and the unit won't let you go any higher then that RPM. Once less thing to pay attention to at the lights.

Does anyone know where I can get one of these for my 99 Mustang GT and roughtly how much do they cost.

Aren't those called stall converters? I don't know...all I know is a dial in is your expected run time; if you run quicker you are disqualified, otherwise the driver closest to their dial in is the winner.

No, I think I meant dial-in box. The purpose is you set the RPM you want to top out at. When you floor the gas the RPM's go to where you set it and no higher. That way you can sit and watch for the light and not have to worry about where your launch RPMs are at, it's consistent every time.

They are called two stage rev limiters. You set one, floor it, and when you launch the other rev limiter is there. I think you have to buy some kind of ignition system(MSD?) or some stand alone computer to get one. I dunno. Hope this helps.
