If you live around philly and have an 99 or 01 cobra with a steeda stage 1 kit (suspension) on your car could you please take me for a spin. I need to hear the ride of the car. Recently(not really) I was hit by an Exterra. 14000 dollars worth of damage later I have a car with a horrible hum.

I was rear ended. On october 3rd got the car back friday april 16th (long story).

The adjuster says the hum is from the front tires because it gets louder as the tires warm up. Ok so the adjust doesn't know *****. But rearend bearings that were out of wack would make a hum after warming up. After all they did have to put a pint of differential fluid in the car.

Nationwide Sucks.

So basicly I just want to hear a similarly modified car. After market exhaust is fine.

send me Pm or respond to this post.

Thanks
DanScan

The pinion angle on the drive shaft could also make a loud hum as well.Good Luck...

In other words the impact could of moved the pinion out of whack with the ring. The car was two inches higher in the rear with a driveshaft tunnel buckle. (I know should of been totaled).

Well it will be going to holman ford after the body shop is done painting the hood again. I got the front tires replaced anyway. I needed them any way.

just a thought

I had a 71 Mach that was rear ended hard...same driveshaft tunnel bend...
had a HUGE humm that got louder as it got faster...well, after a lot of investigation, it turned out the body/chassis wasn't straightened properly and it was riding to the left...this is hard to find...but it sounds like you may have the same problem...if it isnt the pinion angle that is...a real good body shop can trace it down for you...needless to say...my Mach got sold asap...

Just a thought

Well in PA I have to disclose the frame damage or face a lawsuit. So just selling ASAP is not really an option with out a huge potential loss. The ford dealer could even make a deal. I have B+ and my wife as A credit. I am B+ because I am over extended. Basicly thanks to this whole incident. Took 6 months to fix (well obviously not totally fixed). I had to buy another car. 300M for 13K in november. I am very happy with it. But I have to do something. I dropping 1000 a month on cars, and insurance.

ARRRAH!
