Hey guys I wanted to know Is it possible to fit a 99 Saleen interior on a fox mustang?. The reason I'm asking is a friend that I work with rolled over on her 99 convertible Saleen and the interior is in great condition, I'm going to buy the whole car for cheap since her insurace did'nt pay it off, I'm going to take it off her hands........Better Yet Can I make a Motor transplant? What else can I make fit on the car... I know I may take some work but I'm up for the challenge. I'm going sometime this week over to her house for a final inspection on the mustang to see if I decide to keep it or not, I want to see what is salvageable(is that even a word?) LOL....heres a picture will take some more later from my cam. This is a crappy picture with a phone

yes everything will fit, svt32dohc i think is the name of the guy who build a nice yellow notch with a full swap from a 2000 mustang. you need to trim the dash, do some searching you will see that its been done more than you would think

It can be done. but it's a custom job start to finish.

On a more important note...is your friend okay?

Yes, yes you can. Its a WHOLE lotta work but its definatly doable.

Check Project HACK JOB, that swap was done from a 04, and EVERYTHING was swapped over. Mine was from a 98 and I used the 98 steering rack, column, and heater box. Its alot of fab work and custom work but IMO it's totally worth it. If using the old dash harness (like in my case), the swapping of the connectors for the new stuff is the worse part.

I have it done...
I did the entire swap, HVAC, Steering Colum, Pedals, Brake Booster, Dash, carpet, Mach 460 radio... Need I keep going?

The A/C has been comverted from the pushlock 2001 Evap to the Foxbody A/C evap. Cruise will work, horn works, the DING DING DING when you put the key in works, Flash to Pass...

There are some differences from the 96+ cars that you have to be aware of. You will need the Wiper module from a 94-95 car, turn signal stalk from a 94-95, and not be afraid of alot of wireing.

OH also, you will need the cluster from a 94-95 V8 car. I am going to see if one from a 98 will work once I get the engine back in, if so then you can use from 94-98. when they changed the bodystyle in 99 they went to a body control module and the PATS stuff is in the cluster along with the ECM and so forth......

Also you will need to cut the bearing from the firewall that the steering shaft rides in, it will allow you to make the holes for the newer booster too.

If you are going to swap EVERYTHING, drive train... just unplug everything, then swap it all over, the engine will fit if you use the 4.6k member, just a little trimming is needed where it mounts to the subframe. you can also use the factory subframe connectors, and Xbrace from the drop top. I am. you will need the hydroboost brakes as the Mod motors valve covers will not clear a booster....

Sorry for the disconnected post... wealth of knowledge... hard to get it out.
BTW: Car is not done yet.

Well, Um.... to ge the door open right now is to roll down the window, or have someone let you out. I have shut myself in the car twice now, had to call in the house from my blackberry, She was laughing the entire time... Need to get a battery for it.
I am going to move the handles back. A local upolstery shop here restitch the doors in the factory dark charcoal, and I have a set of 05+ Shaker 500 front door subwoofer grills going on too. should look ok. also doing door poppers. I have the vinyl dye for the rest of the plastic. rear seat delete in factory carpet, entire Mach 460 setup save for the front stage, 6.5" diamond audio M5 component set, tweeters running off the deck, the 6.5's off the front amp, plus 1 10" Kicker for low end enhancement. Should be running here in the next month...

The shifter isnt there yet. it is still in the garage. But I like the comment... someone should quote that!
