I know they sell an a/c elimator kit that moves the p/s pump up to where the a/c was and lets you keep your stock belt.
I also see on the underhood diagram it shows the belt simply bypassing the a/c compressor (dotted line labeled "less a/c").
I can't find anywhere that stocks a belt for a non a/c mustang (mine is an 89). A local Ford dealer said he could get one but I'd need a new tensioner arm and pulley because they're different. He said the arm is longer so there's a more tension to make up for the lesser angle... is this right?
Does anyone just run a shorter belt - and if so, what length do I need?
