I have a 1990 Gt. I replaced the compressor and it seems that the clutch is still not kicking in why is it doing this what can I do to fix this. I am dying in florida without ac. Please help

There could be many reasons, low on freon, fautly low pressure switch, blown fuse or electical problem.

do you have the proper amount of R134a or freon in the system?

i Have enough freon, fuses are ok the low pressure switch is getting power but can it still be faulty?

If the system is properly charged then you should have 12 volts on both wires of the low pressure switch.

ok ill check that tomorrow but if its not getting 12 volts then i just need to switch out that switch?

How did you ascertain that you have the proper amount of refrigerant? That's tough to do if the clutch won't engage.

If the LPCS has 12 volts in and out, go check your WOT relay. The wiring is prone to vulcanizing and it can keep the clutch from engaging.

On the front of the passenger strut tower, kinda under the MAF.

Again, you only need to check that if you have voltage leaving the LPCS but not making it to the clutch.
