I have a 95 GT with a leaky High pressure line on the A/C. I called Ford and they want 250.00 because the high and low pressure lines are attached to the block on the back of the compressor. Advanced auto sells a motorcraft replacement that says it runs from the compressor to the condensor which is the one I need but the picture shows it without the muffler so does it have to be soldered on?? Also I heard that if the leak is in the rubber you can cut the factory crimped connections put on a new hose and use some special clamps to keep the line from blowing due to the high pressures. Anyone know anything about this please help!!!!

You may be able to get the replacement parts and fix the hoses and hardlines yourself but you still would need special tools and equipment to get your ac running agian. First once you got everything done you would need a vaccum pump to evacuate the system for an hour or 2 then you would need to charge the system agian with refriderant and you would need a set of gauges and refriderant to do this. If you have these tools and knowledge on how to do this yes you can do it yourself but if not your gonna have to take it to the ford place or some other shop.
