As for the badge.... Kooldawg is our resident expert since he has honed his badge swapping skills. Let me PM him to ask. Double sided tape I believe, but there may be a center mounting pin as well. Hair dryer on low heat works great for the tape.

I have swapped my fender emblems two times now...Hopefully I'm done I feel the running pony is very fitting on these cars. Removing the emblem reveals the 2 alignment holes which means you either cover it with something else or have them filled and repainted. Only the base model V6 has clean fenders. I read somewhere that using a pliable(but not flimsy) credit card works well. I used a smooth card(bank account card-nothing super important if it got messed up). I have done it 4 times(2 on each side) and have never had it scratch. I did it in warm weather...no additional heat source was used. I'm sure the hair dryer would certainly help by making the adhesive much more pliable.
From the net...How do you remove emblems without damage?
To remove most emblems, first use a hair dryer (don't use a heat gun) to soften the glue. Gently, using fishing line or dental floss, run the material behind the emblem to separate it from the surface. To remove the residue adhesive from the paint, use alcohol or an adhesive remover (sold in auto paint stores), or other suitable solvent. After, wash the area with car soap and water. Finally, apply wax to protect the paint.
I didn't try that idea being that it may be difficult to keep the floss/fishing line flat against the car the whole time. Plus with the credit card it was easy to use it to slowly pry the emblem as well.
Fortunately there is not much adhesive on the back of the "GT" emblems due to their skinniness. This makes them fairly simple to remove(a few minutes each). I was able to remove both of them without even having the plating crack. The 4.6 emblems I used where a &%#$@ to remove and clean up after due to the amount of adhesive they had. Probably took me close to 20-30 minutes per side for removal and surface cleaning.

Good luck and I'm here for any further questions if need be
