A different HVAC vacuum question

This isn't the usual vacuum hose/hvac control question. My car has a/c but hasn't worked in *counts on fingers* probably 8 or 9 years. The hose is cracked in several places and I pulled it off and plugged it. There is still the section of hose coming in from the firewall. Are there any adverse effects to plugging that line on the vacuum tree?

I'd say your fine...if it's plugged it means nada..your talking that big Tee on the drivers fenderwell by the brake booster.

Yes, the main vacuum tree (driver side firewall) is plugged. There is still a small part of hose, maybe 4 inches, left sticking out of the access point to the hvac control. That shouldn't be a problem, should it? It is neither sucking or blowing lol.

I don't use the a/c, never have need for the fan and maybe one I'll fix it. Maybe.

The controls for the h vac are vac actuated. If thats not hooked up your stuck on defrost.

Yes, I know. That's why I mentioned that I never use any other function so just having defrost for a while isn't that big of an issue for me. I was just asking if plugging it would create any other issues.
