Passenger rear floor patch is done ,now it is just the two front floor patches

Back on its wheels . Two front floors ,some interior brackets and the body is done . Started on a few fiberglass pieces this morning

Made a set of side scoops ,waiting on some black to make the interior pieces. Black is on back order so i may have to make them in grey

All I know about making these is what I recall from y our other posts so... Question:

Is this the result of a multi-component mix? If so, is there some kind of dye that can put into the mix?

I guess these are questions about the materials.

Yep ,yep ,and yep! mold release sprayed into the mold , white gel coat sprayed next ,gel coat sets up ,fiber strand mat placed in the mold a wet down with ISO resin catalyzed ,i use a red die in the resin because it shows any air bubbles that need to be rolled out

Gel coat can be purchased in almost any color including clear

Two coats of mold release and the interior pieces are ready for gel coat

Gel coat sprayed and soon as it sets i can start the lay up . Even though they are going to be black they still should be painted

Just finished ,2 layers of 2 oz mat .
Its not so pretty right now but wait until it gets trimmed .

Just interior and scoops ,my mold for the 350 type hood finally gave up ,it is over 30 years old and made around 300 hoods

The first panel is out of the mold ,needs to be trimmed and the the brackets and light cone has to be bonded in

The piece under the back window fresh out of the mold ,mold release freshly rinced off .waiting for a trim .

The last pieces are out of the molds ,probably be tomorrow before they get trimmed ,i have a few things to catch up on today.

I got my other work finished early so i went ahead and trimmed out the panels ,i glued up the seat side panel mounting bracket and the light cones . They are a bit dusty right now but steak and peppers is ready and i am hungry so i will just have to clean them tomorrow ,the adhesive needs to dry any way !

Me: Meh... No biggie. I know a guy that can knock a set of those off in 2 days.

All the brackets in place ,the panels are a perfect fit and there is not one screw holding them in place!

Passenger side fits just as nice .
