I'm sure those Marauder pics look nice, if we could see them a little closer! Can't get them any larger than on the post. Why was your hood off anyway?

Im going to go look at a commuter car tomorrow as a back up for my focus.

Found a 1995 saturn SL2 with 63k on it for $1500... They are known to burn oil like crazy though. All the 1.9L cars do.

My niece had that same car, run from that one. I fixed it a lot and yes did it burn oil. Got to be something better for $1500.

Saturns were junk back in their infancy. I cannot speak of later models, but I can say that I don't see many 2000 or later models in the U-pull-it's!

A good commuter car Adam is a late 90's Nissan Maxima. I have a 96 and I drive it all over hell. It's got well over 200k miles, A/C blows ice cold, get's great gas mileage and has a zippy 190hp V6 in it! I see very nice ones going for around 2k give or take a few hundred.

I get 34MPG in my Mazda 3. It's a great Daily Driver.

I just got a new phone ... my first smart phone.

It's a Droid X ... as Droids go, a pretty old model, but this thing is so much cooler than my old phone it's crazy.

My favorite thing so far is the way I can talk into it and it uses voice recognition to turn that into text for me. No more fat fingering!

The hood was not off. My buddy took a pic of the hood up and hood down. Works better in the daylight. Where you can see the hood a little more. Supposed to be a ghost hood pic.

Very cool, however, it would have been evident had I been able to see the pics up close

Another photo from the cruise

This car went by and I was suprised to see that the driver and passenger were a couple 60ish ladies. The plate on the back was 1BADGMA.

LOL. I finally got with this century and got a droid phone a few weeks ago. It's really cool, just steer clear of the Angry Birds. I have a MyTouch 4G. It's just the basic Tmobile HTC phone. I find myself never even bothering to set up my laptop when I get to the hotel now. I have so much time to kill during the day, that I get all my email and stangnet time in between flights. I also do a lot of reading, and I downloaded the "Cool Reader" app. My wife found some direct download of 245 books on some publisher's promotion for free. So now I don't have to carry books around with me. I can just read them right off my phone. If you use the Amazon or Google book apps, the pretty much make you buy the books from them. The only problem I have is that I end up running the battery way down. I am apprehensive about using the charger on the plane, because it's 400hz, and I'm not sure how good the rectifier is in the phone charger. I've been warned about even using low quality chargers with these sophisticated phones.

I too got a smart phone about a week ago. It's a Samsung Intercept which is a very small Android phone. It's very cumbersome and even though I'm learning how to navigate it, it's so small that the smallest of tasks become a huge PITA! Take for instance listening to music on the phone through my car's stereo. It truly is a pain to try to navigate the music player. This phone has almost gotten me into a few accidents, something my ancient non-smart phone has ever done!

I may give this thing to my wife before it kills me and go back to my old Samsung slider phone. I honestly believe that most of your texting while driving accidents are caused by these touch screen smart phones! It's too easy to touch other apps that you don't want, touch other numbers and letters that you don't want and end up taking WAY MORE time to send a text than with a non-smart phone.

Depends on the non smart phone. This is a lot faster than sending texts with my Motorola Droid 10 key texting. I never text and drive anyway. That's just stupid.

Absolutely sick of all the "fallout" rain we've been getting around here - crazy weather moving from east to west the past several days. At least there's no flooding to speak of, people in the NE have got it BAD.

I don't T&D either! Just USING this phone is just as dangerous though. I'm sure if I had a full size Iphone or the bigger screen Android phone it wouldn't be as bad.
