I hate my house. I've got to repaint an exterior wall, and getting all the old paint off is a bitch.

It's cedar siding, so any of that nifty equipment is out of the question. I think the wife and I have it down now. We fill a 1 gallon yard sprayer with paint stripper, and soak the paint till it bubbles. Then we blast it off with a pressure washer. Cedar is softer than the paint, so if you hit exposed wood with the pressure washer, it will actually mess up the wood before it takes the paint off.

I am starting to see why my wife likes yard sales. I just got some Bose 301 speakers in great condition for $20!

After spending probably dozens of hours working under the hood of my stang, I finally just realized there is supposed to be a light under the hood and my bulb was missing.

Well, looks like we all missed a day to post.
Wish I had more to report on the Stang front.
I drive mine once a week to work on Sundays.
I still love to drive my Mustang. It still makes me grin.
Lots of plans and a few parts that still need to be installed along with things that need repaired.
Mostly interior stuff.
Still too hot to work on it here in the Valley of the Sun though.

Up with a sick 3 year old. Poor baby has a temp of 102.4 and she's been vomiting, so I hope the pediatric Tylenol stays down long enough to get the fever down.

iRacing lives! Wow, is it hard. It's not a video game is a realstic racing simulator and I cannot wait when I'm not a Rookie anymore. I have to wait to get Promoted (they promote 2 times per month). In rookie status there are lots of cheaters. They don't understand wrecks hurt your driver rating. Anyway we did our first events last night. Lime Rock Road Course, Miata MX-5 , Qualified 4th, got wrecked in the warm up lap (guy thought it was funny to do that) then he wrecked me during the 2nd lap of the race on purpose. I dropped to last, 10th, fought my way back and finished 6th after 20 laps. Since physically I can't wrench on cars due to my neck surgery, iRacing is the next best thing. I can race all I want without hurting myself in A/C and I'm home with the family. This set up you see it temporary (first day), I'm buying a stand for the steering wheel / pedals / shifter (we use the paddle shifter on the wheel) then hooking it up to my 50" Plasma. The 26" HDTV is getting us by right now. Been in about 6 events now and best finish is still 6th at Lime Rock. Holy Crap is this so realistic. Tires drop off considerably and you have to adjust your driving style to that.

EDIT- If anyone else is doing iRacing please let me know. We would like to set up a league for racing every weekend (Sunday afternoons) in either NASCAR Truck Series, F1 or Ford GT Series. Plus I'd like to do practice sessions with someone I know. Send me a PM.

For those interested in iRacing, head over to www.iracing.com. You need a gaming computer (I got one for under $500 with 10G of RAM), Logitech G27 Steering Wheels / Pedal (NewEgg $234), a iRacing Membership $69 per year or you can do $7.50 per month (you get 6 Cars, 6 Tracks). You will need to buy the other series and tracks for $11.95 each, discounted 10% if buying more than 2. If you're really good at this the 2010 NASCAR Sprint Cup Championship was won by a non professional driver and received a $10,000 check. Dale Earnhardt Jr. finished I believe 11th in the standings. So if you're good, it pays. However you got to get through being a Rookie which is difficult.

that looks pretty cool Vib. I used to love playing gran turismo but haven't playing any kind of game lately. BTW, that's some fine neck hair.

I kept having to jump the stang because the battery kept dieing. jump it last night to get to the car wash, drove it for a good half hour figuring that would be enough to charge it. well....no. it was still so dead that my jump pack couldn't get the car started. had to call AAA to jump it. drove home and ripped the battery out and a walmart one went it. driving great now.

Yeah, I'm getting a hair cut today, I'm wolfing it up pretty good. I finished Gran Turismo, it's really easy in my opinion. Since I finished GT5 I figured iRacing would be a breeze. Boy was I wrong. I'm such a Noob.

I feel your pain....

My son is going to be 3 on Jan. 29, 2012. But this past winter he got the "whoofing" cough i think its called.....its an extremely deep/rough/etc type of cough that is supposedly common among toddlers. Freaked me out the first time i heard it .

Anywho, last winter, he had it for a span of about a week of ROUGH coughing. One night....he couldnt sleep through it. We were in an apartment at the time....so I took him outside in my truck and opened the sunroof to let the fresh air get to him. We knew fresh air helped it from sitting out on the patio. Unfortunately it was too cold to do that. My wife is in medical school, so i told her to stay in the bed..... .....ofcourse she couldnt do that. So she was in the passenger seat, im in the drivers seat with our son laying across my chest on my shoulder. Everyone is covered in blankets. As soon as we got situated, my son slept like a rock.....ZERO coughing. So, we burned thru a lot of gas, but.....we were warm, my son could breathe and sleep peacefully.....and for once that week....the parents got a decent night worth of sleep!

Also, i think in our experiences our son couldnt keep down the IB profen variety of medicine...i think he could handle tylenol just fine. But when he could keep the ib profen down it worked much more effectively. Might be worth a try

You can get really cheap lights at places like Rite Aid, target, wal-mart, etc. But I can almost guarantee they won't last long if they appear to be a cheap brand (which stores like that usually tend to sell).

Local hardware stores also sell Christmas lights and seem to most of the time sell better-quality ones. I'd start here.

Also, please don't get icicle lights. I hate those.

I ALMOST bought a bunch of lights from Target last winter.....but instead I got a bunch of sets of ornaments for about $5 a piece.

And I hate the icicle lights.

Well, i take that back. Some of them look decent....when installed right. The thing i HATE are the things that look like an eye sore in day light. Including those ****ty deers/animals/etc....and 98% of the icicle lights available.

Anywho, im a strict simple bulb...roof light/gutter line type of guy thanks for my dad. Also the tall bush and trees
