First off, some of you don't freak out on me here (and you know who you are). :nono: This is all very hypothetical.

If we were to sell either the 'vert or the Cobra, what do you think I could realistically get for them? The LX has 104,000 on it and the Cobra has 74,000 but, as you know, both are in better than showroom condition.

Opinions would be appreciated.

The very might be the easier sale, especially on a national forum. I think you could get $12K for it. The Cobra is probably worth a few more bucks, but versus new, the Fox bodies prices are fetching more.

I just did all that shopping and think a for sale sign would hang longer on the Cobra, but it would probably go for $18K.

That's my best guess.

I guess I don't know the market, because I would have estimated much less than the prices above.

In the last year or so, it seems like the late-model Mustang market has gotten kind of weird. Your everyday, run of the mill cars are still reasonably priced. I see decent Fox cars on Craigslist in the $3-5000 range and SN95's in the $8-10000 range all the time. But really nice cars (and both of these cars are really nice) seem to be bringing big bucks.

The Wife and I have been talking about getting her a new Supercrew. We don't want a car payment, so the Bronco, the Crown Vic and one of the three Mustangs would have to go. We'd end up with a new Truck and another smaller used car for a getaround vehicle. Maybe an Escort, a Contour or maybe even another Fox.
