I'm running out of time and I need to make a decision.
I've been planning on buying a 1973 302 from my brother that ran awesome but he took it apart anyway and didn't mark the bearing caps. I can get it for $50 and planned on making a stroker for my DD.

But now my buddy bought a 09 GT and is selling his remaining motors he had.
I can get his 1989 351w block NON roller freshly rebuilt .30 over and a decent sized cam already installed.....for $200.

I'll have to buy aftermarket heads either way, And I'll also be able to buy a Brand new Barry Grant road demon 725 to go with it.

I'm just not sure if this non roller block would be worth messing with????

Like I said this will be for a DD street car but I would like to take it to the strip a couple of times.

Oh by the way, I've pretty much already ruled out his 351C 2v that's freshly rebuilt / never fired for $1500. It just needs a distributor and it's ready to fire.
Unless that's a bad decision???

Decisions decisions.....

Any helpful insight would be appreciated.
Thanks
