Yeah, the civic hatch is BS.... But Honda Does amazing Stuff..... They made the NSX which was an AMAZING car... It was a Ferrari with added User friendliness. Honda even Dominated F1 for years (The NSX was Made to Celebrate Honda Dominating F1). The NSX was even made to the exact specification that Ayrton Senna Wanted (If you dont know who ayrton senna is then your not a Real Racing Enthusiast).

The V-TEC is an amazing system and is a Excellent piece of engineering

Honda has produced over 15 million VTEC systems and none of them have ever failed due to a mechanical issue.

You mean Under Rated?

Most everyone will agree that the NSX one of the only supercars you can drive everyday, along with the Ford GT.

I would rock an NSX... i have wanted to for a while

If he puts some slicks on it and drove it hard it would probably go into the 10s.
BTW I like it.

Not sure if I believe that. I've seen newer ones fail being towed into the dealer.

I do respect Hondas though, I've liked the S2000 ever since they came out and owned 2 Accords. I wouldn't put a Vette engine in a Civic though. That's cool that someone was able to do that, but kind of a waste of a good engine.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't there a V8 conversion of the SVT Focus in the Ford Racing Performance Parts catalog? I think that would be cool, especially if it could be made into the ultimate sleeper.

Actually, if you read through the LS1tech thread for a while, you'll see that he barely spent any money at all. He had a wrecked vette and a civic hatch that he didn't even spend $1000 on combined and just decided to make a monster out of them. He pretty much fabricated everything and even put the vette's interior in the civic. He's obviously really good at this type of thing.

What about non mechanical issues?

Not starting anything, I am honestly curious. For a company to produce that many and not have a single mechanical failure is astonishing. I wish Ford could do that with their Tranny selections

hahahahahahahahahahaha the nsx is a joke its $100,000 for a low 13 second car that will get walked on by the new z06 in ever aspect of racing lol. or for that matter even the old z06 would still walk it lol.

and honda has had problems with vtec before. i was on a s2000 forum years ago and i read about problems with when vtec kicked in the engine would die lol. sounds like a problem to me.

The V-TEC system is very simple and Non has ever failed due to a mechanical Issue.

Think about how many recalls FoMoCo has had.... Have you ever heard about Honda having a V-TEC Recall? Or have you ever heard about V-TECs just failing for no reason? Nobody has because The V-TEC system is so reliable and so good that every other car company on the planet (Ford, Toyota, MITSU) all copied the V-TEC layout.

the V-TEC system can break.... But only if not maintained properly (Just like any Other car) The V-TEC system requires Lubrication to the Actuation Pin that engages the High Cam Lob. Without Lubrication The pin can get stuck causing the Timing of the Valves and Ignition to go Crazy and Bend Valves.

All Cars Need Maintains, and a Honda is No Different, You have go properly service the fluids for the V-TEC Pins for the cam so they engage Smoothly. Just like if you dont make sure you car has Oil the car will fail.

No V-TEC system has ever been recalled by honda and no V-TEC has ever Failed due to a Mechanical issue.... If you think i am wrong then prove me different
