OK, I am posting this as a friendly warning to you all. Last week I made a purchase through http://www.lakeshorewheelandtire.com/. The Visa I used is one that I have only for my Mustang and nobody else uses it. I haven't used it in almost a year. Well, 2 days later I have an almost $500 charge pop up on my card to an electronics company out of Spain. The card stays locked in my gun safe and I have the only combo for it.

This is all being investigated right now. I am not accusing them of fraud, only letting everybody here know about what happened to me. The server said secure and might have been hacked, who knows. Just posting the facts for everyone.

If this has happened to anyone else, please let me know.

This happened to me after purchasing tires online from discount tire. Not sure what happened, but I had $360 worth of fraudulent charges put on my card, and the card was in my possession the whole time. Stuff like this happens... chances are they will never catch who did this to me, but I had to spend a lot of time on the phone with my bank and waiting around for a new card and a reimbursement.

Good luck to you man, I hope they catch the bastard. People that do this crap make me lose faith in humanity

A few weeks a go I bought gas in the morning and paid with a debit card.

Later that day I get a call from Visa. Did I just make a purchase in Walmart for almost $1000 in Conn (I live in NJ). Nope, I still have my card on me.

It appears that an attendant at the gas station had a card swipper hooked up to a laptop. Transferred my info to someone in Conn who made up a phony card and went shopping.

I got my money back within 2 days and will never go back to that gas station.
I also filed a police report and nothing happened.
