ok, was the factory n/s switch made so it will only start in neutral ( gear shifter) or was it made so it will start in any gear so long as the clutch is depressed??
here's the deal, got the t-5 in, i purchased a complete t-5 wiring harness for the tranny.
i took the one plug off the original aod, and plugged the short pigtail from the t-5 harness that by passes the n/s switch and has the reverse light switch plug on it.
all was good, had reverse lights, car started but with no n/s switch.
so today, i took the n/s part of the plug from the t-5 harness, wired it in to where the n/s wires are jumpered, and so now it will only start in neutral ( gear shift in neutral).
this is fine, but it would be nice if it would also start if it's in gear but with the clutch depressed. i have a switch on the pedal assembly for the clutch, i assume thats what this is for......i have heard there is a plug somewhere under the dash.......is this what i need to hook to that switch on the pedal assembly to allow the car to start if the clutch is depressed regardless of the shifter being in neutral or not??
