Okay I put in many hours extending some wires so I can seriously hide ALL the wires and vacuums under the hood. My main harness passes inside the cab (follows below the HVAC for easy removal - if needed). The engine harness connectors go thru a new hole in the tranny tunnel which would be tucked under the dash away from heat and dirt (compared to original spot). I'm going to make some kind of boot for the wires going thru the hole I made, not sure how I'm going to make this, fiberglass? I want to be able to remove the harness easily (for engine removal) and still have a closable opening. The only other hole I made was in the firewall near the upper intake for the dizzy wires, but that will be closed off with a metal plate and a rubber gromet. But I feel like passing the engine harness along the firewall and connecting it something like an SN95 style...
Now my solenoid is inside my fender where the windshield washer tank used to be. Now I'm think it will be a PITA to replace if the solenoid ever $%##-up on me. I'm thinking either a 4ga wire from that to some kind of distribution box to remove all the clutter from the solenoid (to make repairs easier). OR just put the solenoid back inside the bay?
I want to finish everything this week and put my fenders back on. I also will finish my write-up later on because I've done a lot of back-and-forth on this to make this as secure as possible. Also finished up my 3G install.
