Hey im getting a 2000 v6 with some work done to it, the car will have around 250 when it get's dropped in, here's my question!!
what is a fairly good transmission , it must be auto*, with over drive and be able to hold up to 450 Hp if wanted to in the future. I don't want to be replacing it every time I wanna have some fun.
Thanks.

Sorry forgot to add, this is all being done in a 98 v6, got half the suspension on, tokico springs and gas filled shocks (nice smoothness on front of car).Got a strut tower bar, it doesn't seem to line up...it bolts side and top..not center top!!I Bought it off ebay I was sure it fit, anyone else have this problem? or do I just drill away?

1 More question how do you program a keyless entry OEM to a car? Bought the keyless remote with out instructions!!!

Replacing old carpet with a dark navy blue!
interior peices are already mystiq black, but can be easily changed! to mystique blue!

You can use the old tranny and check out Jerry's mod on TCOAA to see how to build up a tranny to withstand almost anything you can throw at it.

This would be the least expensive way to go as all you would need are a bunch of parts and pay for labor. The other way to go, is to spend $2-3K on a street/strip tranny easy.

I don't have exact numbers for money, but the most expensive thing would be the torque converter. I would get the one called The Stallion. I forgot who makes it, but a search in the 'net should bring up their site. Wait, just found it...

Not sure about the keyless entry and the key fob, but I think you have to take it to the dealer to do that. I know its a fairly simple process, but don't recall exactly how its done.

why must it be an auto? manuals are so much more fun and cheaper and true if an auto is built it is faster but.... for daily driving the manual is gonna be the better choice.... I dont know of an auto that can hold 450hp... and work on a 3.8.... maybe a built C4? but im sure that wont work
