About to get a 2000 v6 engine for a 98! need some info!

You can use the old tranny and check out Jerry's mod on TCOAA to see how to build up a tranny to withstand almost anything you can throw at it.

This would be the least expensive way to go as all you would need are a bunch of parts and pay for labor. The other way to go, is to spend $2-3K on a street/strip tranny easy.

I don't have exact numbers for money, but the most expensive thing would be the torque converter. I would get the one called The Stallion. I forgot who makes it, but a search in the 'net should bring up their site. Wait, just found it...

Not sure about the keyless entry and the key fob, but I think you have to take it to the dealer to do that. I know its a fairly simple process, but don't recall exactly how its done.

why must it be an auto? manuals are so much more fun and cheaper and true if an auto is built it is faster but.... for daily driving the manual is gonna be the better choice.... I dont know of an auto that can hold 450hp... and work on a 3.8.... maybe a built C4? but im sure that wont work

you can go to any racing transmission dealer, and they could have a heavily built 4R70W or AOD tranny. Or just give them yours and tell them how much power you want it to withstand, and you should be ok.

And they will basically do the Jerry Mod. from TCOAA.
