About to throw a match to it.

My car keeps dying while under heavy acceleration. Plus missing and holding back occasionally under light load.

I had the codes pulled today and this what I got
PO352 Coil B ignition coil B primary/secondary malfunction
PO353 Coil C ignition coil c primary/secondary malfunction
PO354 Coil D ignition coil d primary/secondary malfunction
PO358 Coil H ignition coil h primary/secondary malfunction

I know it's related to the coil packs, but I doubt 4 are going bad all at once. Also what's meant by secondary malfunction?

My car has been such a PIA this year I have almost given up on it please help me.

try new coil packs you can always return them if it doesnt help. and i know how your feeling ive considered driving it into a tree of setting it on fire haha mine has a clunk noise under lite throttle and holds back and stutters under hard throttle maybe i have the same prob as you?

Maybe one of the coils went bad and is shorting out, that could mess with the rest of them. Use a mutimeter and check the resistance of all your coils to see if there is a bad one. Good luck!

Could one mess with the others? I have checked recenty like 3 weeks ago and they all seemed the same.

That sucks dude. That is one of the problems you get when you mod a car to this point like you and I have. There are always little bugs with the car, I know I was having a tunning issues that almost ruined the car for me. You'll get it figured out just lik I did.

^ Yeah it's been aggravating. I haven't had a decent run at the track since I did the heads and upped the boost.

Well I had one cop off a different motor on coil #8/H. I replaced it and so far it seems fine. I think it might have missed a little once on the way back home but no dying during acceleration. Could a coil pac shorting out cause the others to throw a code?

I also put in 2 Aviator fuel pumps in my cobra set up today and I'm throwing a P0190 which is a fuel rail pressure sensor malfunction. When I first start.

Not that I'm an expert but sounds plausible that once one of the coils misfires it could cause a hiccup down the line. One other thing you could look at is cylinder wash out. When you get a consistant misfire, the raw fuel will wash out the the rings and get blow by and misfire. Try changing the oil and checking the plugs also.

I just changed the oil last week. But I will check it see if looks or smells funny.

I'm getting the po190 code but only at start up. I think my fuel mpressure spikes for a minute and throughs the code because I have the big Aviator pumps and a 40amp BAP. I have no check valves. and the pulse dampner has been removed.

The RF resistors on the harness could cause the same thing.

Aren't those the little black things at each end of harness near the front of the motor. I hear they're only there to suppress noise on the radio etc? I wonder If I could just remove those?

Removing the pulse damper was not a good idea.

Lots of people do when the upgrade the lines. Leaving it in would be a bottle neck for them. I think I will try unplugging them I don't have a working radio right now anyway.

Start looking at the wiring system I have yet to have a coil problem with that "primary/secondary malfunction". Get a wiring diagram from computer out to coil and have fun. Start looking for burned wires, connectors and those stupid rf resistors. I hate wiring, I pawn it off on another mechanic as I do not havethe patients for it.
