Will a compressor from a 5.0 work on the 2.3? Someone once told me the alternators were interchangeable so I was wondering of the compressor was as well.
AND.....if anyone has a clutch from a 2.3 compressor laying around please e-mail me if you wanna get rid of it....my clutch just went bad.

Look up a 5.0 and a 2.3 on Autozone's website. I think the brackets are different so they might not be....

yeah

I tried that but the store I search had a different "brand" for each one....wouldnt that figure. I bet you are right though. Someone gave me a compressor from a late 80's 4 banger and it is pretty different as well. I may just go ahead a get a rebuilt one from the Zone...hell, they are only a little over 100 bucks and it may save me in the long run. thanks

You should be able to get the clutch for that compressor. I know I replaced the one on mine a few years ago.
